The III CIVENI—Multidisciplinary Congress of Veni Creator Christian University— began on Thursday, December 11. 

The event, which will feature speakers from various countries, such as the United States and India, will take place at the institution’s headquarters in Celebration, Florida, in person and online.

At the opening of the III Civeni, the CEO of Veni University, Dr. Acilina Candeia, welcomed participants, collaborators, and speakers, highlighting global challenges and interdisciplinary solutions for a sustainable future.

Good morning, everyone! Magnificent Rectors, esteemed Professors, International Partners, Researchers, Collaborators, Students, and distinguished Guests.

It is with immense joy and a heart full of gratitude that I welcome each of you to our CIVENI—the International Congress of Veni Creator Christian University!
This event is more than a conference; it is a gathering of minds and purposes under the blessing and inspiration of the Creative Spirit, which our University seeks to honor and pursue in all areas of knowledge.

The theme that brings us together is an urgent call for our era: “Knowledge in Convergence: Global Challenges and Interdisciplinary Solutions for a Sustainable Future.”

In an increasingly complex world, where challenges—from climate change to social inequality, from pandemics to misinformation—know no disciplinary boundaries, compartmentalized knowledge is no longer sufficient. The era of isolated specialization is giving way to the era of synthesis and convergence.

We at VENI believe that this convergence has its deepest roots in the Christian vocation for wholeness. Faith is not just another discipline; it is the integrating lens that allows us to see the world not as disconnected fragments, but as a unified Creation—an interconnected cosmos that cries out for care and wisdom.

Therefore, the challenge I pose to everyone present at this Congress is not only to acquire more data, but to integrate it with Wisdom.

Let us seek, together, not only the next discovery, but the Interdisciplinary Solution that is fair, equitable, and, above all, Sustainable—a solution that honors human dignity and preserves the planet, which is our common home.

May the reflections, debates, and partnerships that arise at this CIVENI be inspired by the light of Verbum Creator. May they enable us to be creators of the future—a future that reflects the hope, responsibility, and love that we have been taught.
