ON SATURDAY, MAY 25, VENI CREATOR CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY HELD THE ONLINE EVENT “OLPEN-TALKS: WORKER´ MENTAL HEALTH”

The event featured lawyers, physical educators and psychologists as speakers who discussed the care of workers’ physical, mental and occupational health, the performance of work in the home office mode, and answered questions from internet users.
The lawyer, Dr. Mhardoqueu França, highlighted the need to care for workers so that they can perform well in their daily work.
“This is a very good reflection because it goes beyond the Law, to what extent companies are interested in implementing these policies aimed at workers’ mental, physical and occupational health. Companies do not have this habit, firstly because it depends on the manager himself to enforce these policies. Secondly, to what extent are these policies profitable for the company? And we know today that these policies are very profitable for the company. A good manager who has this perspective is a manager who will be concerned about the mental health of his employees, and this is very appropriate because all of this impacts the worker’s performance”, he stressed.
The Physical Education teacher, Gledson Pedro, spoke about the release of hormones in relation to the practice of physical education, as well as moments that the company can organize for the well-being of the employee.
The psychologists Valéria Nicolau and Luana Lira led the discussion on mental health, using depression and anxiety as parameters in the impact on the individual’s work and effective treatment approaches, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy in the application to help individuals deal with persistent negative thoughts.
