III International Colloquium on Social Sciences – “Blood Crimes and the Supremacy of Cultural Disapproval in Brazil”
On January 27, 2023, Veni Creator Christian University promoted the III International Colloquium on Social Sciences, with the theme “Blood Crimes and the Supremacy of Cultural Reprobation in Brazil”. The online event will be led by Dr. Ricardo Sérvulo, lawyer, university professor, journalist, and doctor in Public Law, specialist in topics such as democracy, elections and electoral justice in Brazil.
Speech by Dr. Ricardo Sérvulo
Dr. Sérvulo addressed the problem of blood crimes in Brazil and the cultural disapproval generated by these crimes. He discussed how Brazilian society often anticipates public trials and convictions, contributing to an environment of supremacy of social tolerance where cultural influence directly affects the way crimes are treated, both in the judicial sphere and in popular perception.
