AMERICAN FOUNDATION INAUGURATES SPACE IN THE FIGHT AGAINST SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

The American institution Hope & Justice Foundation, opened its space in Brazil last Monday, June 17, located in João Pessoa-PB, in partnership with Instituto Veni Brasil and Amac. In Orlando, the partnership is with the American university, Veni Creator Christian University.

The goal is to be an international reference in the prevention and fight against human trafficking and smuggling, domestic violence, and child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Anna Alves-Lázaro, the President of the Hope & Justice Foundation, explained that the work to combat these crimes is fundamental.

“It is something fundamental, because society urges us to work on this issue of combating, preventing these heinous crimes. When we talk about human trafficking, domestic violence, and child sexual abuse, for many people they may seem like different things, but they are not. At some point they are connected”, she explained.

The work of Hope & Justice Foundation began in Orlando, FL, and according to Anna Alves-Lázaro, its actions are expanding due to the responsibility of her nationality to combat these crimes in her country and help the victims. Anna also emphasized that she hopes that the people of Paraíba can embrace the project so that the work carried out will bear fruit.

The president of Veni Creator Christian University, Dr. Acilina Candeia, described the guarantee of rights and the protection of the most vulnerable people.

“This spearhead here in João Pessoa will reach all of Brazil because we have this mission of expanding our work in the system of guaranteeing rights. And this work by Hope, AMAC, and Veni University strengthens the system of guaranteeing rights. We want to guarantee the rights of women, children, adolescents, and the elderly, bringing them protection,” said the president.

With the inauguration of Hope & Justice, Paraíba becomes the spearhead in Brazil in the mission of expanding the work of guaranteeing rights with Prevention, Protection, Investigation, and Repression.
